Free Audio Recorder is a simple program developed by Deepcom.com. The program is so straightforward that it may suit any user regardless of his experience with sound recording. It is used for recording sounds from your computer. It may come in handy for recording online audio streams, extracting sound from video files, recording voice conversations and many other recording tasks. This program supports three levels of recording quality. The higher the quality you choose, the more space you will need for the output and vice versa. You can control the bits per sample (8 or 16 bits), and you can select the number of recorded channels to be mono (which is suitable for voice recordings) or stereo (for musical recordings).
The program's interface consists of a single window with a few buttons. The Pause button stops and resumes the recording process. The Record button is used for starting or completing a recording. You will be able to see the duration of the current recording in the green timer box. One great advantage of this program is that it doesn't limit the intended recording duration. Still, it's absolutely free to use and worth a try.
